Q: I do not think I can handle the intermediate classes. What do you suggest?
A: The intermediate classes teach intermediate level concepts and are *not* defined as for intermediate dancers! This would mean that any person that feels that they are at a beginner level can take the class!
Q: In regards to the Friday class, do you cover patterns from other nights?
A: No, there are different instructors that teach different classes, and with that each instructor has their separate focuses and lesson curriculum. For classes with the same instructor, lessons during each week always has different materials taught.
Q: Are there sign-ups for your lessons?
A: No. You do not have to sign-up, just show up with your fantastic smile and attitude to learn salsa. However, it is recommended that you contact the instructor if you have any questions that have been answered.
Q: Are there any fees for the lessons?
A: Just the cost of the class which could vary. Send us an email if it's not specified on our website.
Q: Do I need a partner for the lessons?
A: No. We rotate partners during the lessons so that you may experience dancing with others.
Q: What clothing should I wear to the lessons?
A: Clothing that does not restrict your movement is recommended. People generally come to the class casually dressed.
Q: Are shoes required?
A: Yes. Shoes that allow easy turning and movement is recommended.
Q: What's the male:female ratio?
A: The ratio is generally the same every week. After two years we have noticed that we always have about four leaders that start without a partner, regardless of the size of the class!
Q: Are you getting paid for the free lessons?
A: No. Anonymous private investors who are excited about sharing the excitement of salsa in the south bay are covering the cost of the free lessons.
Q: What is the age group that attends the class?
A: Age range appears to be anywhere from 21 - 50 years of age.
