J Smooth Salsa began with the purpose of offering professional, academic-level salsa lessons for those unsure of whether salsa dancing is for them, at a minimal cost. JSS has offered free salsa lessons since August 2002 for hundreds of people and has contributed to the community donations and services for just as long.
